CUGH-Pulitzer Global Health Video Competition


CUGH's 5th annual video competition in partnership with the Pulitzer Center will showcase important global health issues and innovations. Winners will be highlighted at our 9th Annual CUGH Global Health Conference March 16-18 in New York, NY.


Awards
There will be a winner and two honorable mentions in each submission category. All six videos from the winners and honorable mentions will be featured at the conference, on the CUGH website, and included in the Bulletin (CUGH's email newsletter).
The top submission in each category will receive one (1) free registration to the conference.


Submission Categories

  • Global Health Advocacy - Outlines a compelling global health challenge

  • Innovations in Global Health - Showcases a high impact innovation in global health

     
How to Submit
The submission deadline is October 31, 2017 (extended from October 20, 2017)

Limit one (1) submission per person. CUGH membership is NOT required to participate; all are welcome to make a submission.

All videos must be under five (5) minutes in length. Submitted videos must be uploaded to either YouTube or Vimeo and must be publicly available to view. The Vimeo or YouTube video description must mention the 2018 CUGH video competition.

Submissions must include a short description (1,000 characters maximum) abut the highlighted issue or innovation.

By submitting your video to the competition you are giving CUGH permission to share it through the CUGH website and social networking platforms.




Judging Criteria

Category: GLOBAL HEALTH ADVOCACY
Importance of the issue as a global health challenge;
Degree to which the video reveals solutions that can be implemented;
Creative and technical strength (was the story told with strong audio, editing, and in a beautiful and interesting way?).

Category: INNOVATIONS IN GLOBAL HEALTH
Importance of the innovation to address a global health challenge;
Degree to which the video reveals solutions that can be implemented;
Creative and technical strength (was the story told with strong audio, editing, and in a beautiful and interesting way?).
